Warning: This audio is graphic and shocking. Before Toyota could be bothered to recall 3.8 million Toyota and Lexus cars that they had known for two years had a problem,an off-duty state trooper and three members of his family had to die in fatal car crash when the gas pedal got stuck on the floormat. This is the recording of their 911 call moments before they crashed into the end of the freeway at 120 mph.

Panic is a very powerful emotion. If you find yourself in this situation, the key is to remain calm and put the car in neutral until the car slows down enough so you can safely pull off the road.

　　事情的轉機來自加州聖地亞哥一個高速公路巡警的悲劇。開著豐田高檔車型“雷克薩斯”的下班巡警，在生前最後一刻，打了９１１急救電話。下面是他最後的電話錄音︰“我們開的是‘雷克薩斯’，在１２５號公路向北開。車的油門卡住了…情況很糟糕…剎不住車…我們快到十字路口了...祈禱吧…”（“We’re in a Lexus ... we’re going north on 125 and our accelerator is stuck ... we’re in trouble ... there’s no brakes ... we’re approaching the intersection ... hold on ... hold on and pray ... pray ...” ）緊接著９１１接線員听到的是一聲巨響。這輛車在撞了另一輛車後，沖出護欄，翻滾後起火，車中４人全部死亡。

very true, though a lot said the driver "could have been" calm down & there were million ways to stop the car... & some even said this is a false one..... blah blah blah, but the man was driving Lexus, and his family died... , this is true, no doubt this gonna put Toyota into deep shit.

Their gas pedal stuck because of their carpet. The driver is an off-duty Highway Patrol Officer. He had the time to call 911 but does not have time to figure out how to stop the car. If only he knows how to shift the car into neutral or down shift. Very sad.

可信性極低,首先一個巡警可以揸Lexus,即係當左差好多年,我住呢度至少五年差人先可以揸"私家車",每日喺車入面時間比的士司機無分別,做巡警仲要接受訓練,無可能連基本緊急應變都唔會,有時間廢話連篇都無用腦去轉落"空波"?
